Home Building on Alberta Soils Course
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT - October 31, 2011 DEADLINE

Home Building on Alberta Soils course is a mandatory membership requirement for all Builder Members of the Program. The purpose of this course is to educate builders on the two most prevalent issues that contribute to structural failures in Alberta homebuilding: soil and moisture. You may have seen the big countdown clock on the home page of the Program’s Builder Member website that is counting down to the deadline for completion of this course This means each organization must have at least one appropriate site staff member certified in the course by October 31, 2011. Congratulations to those who have completed this course. We appreciate your attention to this very important requirement. For those who do not yet have an appropriate site staff member certified ….. the deadline is fast approaching. Don’t delay, register today to beat the rush!

Easy Enrol 2.0 Released
The latest release of Easy Enrol is designed to streamline process and provide a higher range of functionality for our Builder Members.
Included in the release:

Condo Units
Home Possessions
- Users can now input their possession information on Easy Enrol prior to the walkthrough to download a professionally formatted Certificate of Possession. (Initiating a Possession Tutorial)
- After the Builder and Homeowner have signed the Certificate of Possession document, it can be uploaded to Easy Enrol along with any Warranty Exclusions or Deficiencies list. (Submitting a Possession Tutorial)
- Homeowners entered at time of enrolment will be carried over to the possession detail form, reducing data entry.
- Users can also view ALL possession information past and present.

Enrolment Fee Reduction
For the second time this calendar year, the Program is pleased to announce a
per unit enrolment fee reduction effective Nov. 1, 2010.
In April, Builder Members received a partial reduction of $75 and, as of November 1st, will see another reduction of $115. The combined reduction totals $190, and offsets the increase in fees implemented in 2008.

Address Verification Plugin
When saving an enrolment or possession, you will notice a popup that comes up asking you to verify the address and accept a format standardized by Canada Post.
